The Resolution Foundation was set-up and remains substantially funded by Sir Clive Cowdery via the Resolution Trust. He made his fortune in the insurance business and also funds the charitable content of Prospect Magazine via the Resolution Trust. Sir Cowdery was a director of Best for Britain, a group campaigning to stop Brexit. The Resolution Trust derives a significant part of its income from an endowment worth £37.5m in 2023.
